Every year the Advertising & Illustrative Photographers Association holds the Image Nation Professional Photography Conference – New Zealand’s most highly anticipated photo industry event.
This unique event gives local photographers, assistants and students an invaluable opportunity to hear entertaining and insightful presentations from some of the world’s most renowned professional photographers and industry experts. In addition, attendees also gain an immense amount of useful and relevant information about the advertising and editorial markets – knowledge that can be used to achieve future success in the photographic arena.
The 2013 Image Nation Professional Photography Conference will be held at Unitec’s Mount Albert Campus in Auckland on June the 22nd and 23rd.
Feedback from previous Image Nation Photography Conferences
Over 20 years I’ve attended many conferences in legal and business circles. AIPA’s recent Image Nation event far surpassed any of them. The speakers were uniformly excellent and the panel discussions were informative and engaging.”
I attended the recent Image Nation conference in Auckland and found it to be hugely rewarding. I’ve been to various photography conferences in Australia and the United States and Image Nation would have to have been one of the best and most informative events I’ve attended. I’m really looking forward to next one!”
Just wanted to say thanks and well done for organising Image Nation. I left feeling inspired and thoroughly educated! The speakers were really diverse and everyone quite different from the next. It was good to see so many people attending this year. I think it should be a ‘must’ on every serious photographers calendar; certainly anyone that wants to keep a handle on what the future holds in this rapidly evolving industry.”
I must thank you for informing me about the Image Nation conference. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot. I look forward to next year and definitely will be spreading the word.”
Being a recent graduate and new to New Zealand (from England), I found many of the talks incredibly useful. The choice of non-photographers as presenters was a great idea and provided a good insight as to the client’s point of view and needs. It was interesting to hear about the career paths of many of the photographers too.”
Image Nation was such an inspirational weekend with such diverse photographers. I learnt so much and it really inspired me as a photographer. I will definitely tell everyone about it – I think that weekend would be good for any artist to go to. It was such a pleasure to be there and I look forward to any upcoming events.”
